Vision Mission

Vision

1. The department of microbiology aims to provide leading education and innovative research expertise in all fields of microbiology.
2. It aims to prepare students for undergraduate, post-graduate, and doctorate.
3. It emphasizes to find solutions to many of our global challenges, such as antimicrobial resistance, emergence of new infectious diseases, and the health of our ecosystems.
4. The department works to develop students in advanced studies, entrepreneurship and applying new ideas and technologies in biological sciences.
5. The department provides an opportunity for hands-on training in various practically applied aspects of the microbiology like analysis of clinical samples, isolation and identification of microorganisms, their cultivation, preservation, molecular techniques, sterilization etc.

Mission

1. The department always insists on quality training to students and bringing out the very best in them through inculcating necessary discipline required for the subject.
2. Teach laboratory courses in such a manner that it provides students with basic knowledge of microorganism’s morphology, growth, their reaction to various growth media and their identification.
3. Encouraging students to get involved in project works, study tours, seminars and social awareness programmes.
4. To prepare graduate students for professional careers in microbiology.
