About Department
The Department of Political Science at UttamchandBagdiya Arts and Commerce College, Risod was established in 1984, the year in which the college itself was founded. Since its establishment, the department has been committed to providing quality education in Political Science and developing students’ awareness about political institutions, democratic values, governance, and public administration.The department plays an important role in promoting civic responsibility, constitutional awareness, and leadership qualities among students. Through academic teaching, seminars, guest lectures, and student-centric activities, the department continuously strives to create responsible citizens and future leaders.
In response to the growing academic demand for advanced studies, the Post-Graduate (P.G.) program in Political Science was started in 2023, marking a significant milestone in the academic development of the department.
